Training Camp is finally over! After 4 weeks of sessions, trainings, and sleeping in the Georgia heat, the squad is ready to begin ministry. As I stated in my previous blog we are doing a few weeks of outreach here in the states before we head to Guatemala. The men are currently in Kentucky serving with Samaritan’s Purse helping with disaster relief. The women are all in North Carolina serving in Black Mountain, NC.

We arrived a few days ago after a short 3 – 4 drive. We set up our tents and all gathered for a quick orientation. We are staying on Excel College’s campus. Excel College is a small school in Black Mountain, NC. They offer two year bachelor degree programs, helping their students get hands on experience in their chosen field before they graduate.

For the next few weeks, we will be partnering with the college to serve within the community. Their heart is to help and support those in the community, showing them the love of God along the way. They have several different projects we will help with, including gardening for a food rescue service, serving at a conference center, and helping at a camp.

For the last few days, I have had the opportunity to serve at the nearby conference center. They are short staffed with a big upcoming event. We have been able to aid in the preparation of the event which has provided relief for the current employees. A conference center may seem like a strange ministry location, but we have been able to bless the employees there. And at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter what your serving looks like. Because it is all for the Lord.

Here are some ways you can pray for me:

  1. My squad – It has been cold at night. We are sleeping in our tents, and it has been hard to stay warm throughout the night. Pray for restful sleep and lots of energy.
  2. My co-leaders – Pray for us as we lead our teams. Pray we can each find a good routine, and that we would remember to pause and be still in His presence.
  3. Fundraising – As you can see, I am now halfway funded (yay!!). Please pray into supporting me as I continue to lead and disciple. Join my prayer team in interceding for me through my ministry. Please also pray into supporting me financially. By giving, you help fund my ministry and are a part of allowing me to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

  1. It’s so good to hear your update, Hannah.
Congratulations on the completion of training camp!
I love how you’ve been blessing the people at the conference center. You are so right, it doesn’t matter what the serving/ministry looks like, anyone can be greatly blessed by having you take the time to be interest in them and work along side of them. It can activate their faith and allow God to work in their lives.
Blessings as you continue in the faith. I am praying for you and your squad. Just look at God’s provision for your funds!!! Woohoo! Halfway there already!

Thank You, Lord!!! Please keep the squad warm at night and give them sweet sleep. May You bring a joy into their encampment that will spill over into the live’s of others.
